General Data Protection Policy

The safety of your data is important to us and we will endeavour to keep all the information we hold in a professional and safe manor.  We do not monitor or collect information from you when you are visiting our website and we do not sell from our website.  We do provide links to other parties websites where their cookies & privacy policies will apply.

In your dealings with Burning Sensation (Grimsby) Ltd, we will need to collect data that is known as personal data.  Where processing personal data we comply with statutory data processing requirements as set out by the Data Protection Act 2018.  The personal data we will collect from you will include information relating to your name, address and contact details.  We will process your data to allow us to provide you with our services such as sale of goods, installation, delivery and appliance servicing. 

Where we have provided an installation service of an appliance we are required by law to register a gas appliance installation with the Gas Safe Register and as part of a solid fuel installation we will register the appliance installation with HETAS, these are the governing bodies and they will in turn register the installation with the Local Building Authority – this is a mandatory requirement where we are required by law to share the information.

Payment methods will be used to process a sale at the point of sale only and once the sale has been processed any card payment information is destroyed, we do not retain any debit/credit card or bank payment information that you provide to us to complete a sale.

Where applicable, as part of our ongoing services to you, we may send a gas service reminder letter around the month prior to the anniversary of your installation, where we have carried out that installation.  Should you have your appliance serviced by Burning Sensation (Grimsby) Ltd we will keep a record of your appliance details and any work carried out on a data spreadsheet along with your name, address and telephone number, this is so that we can identify the appliance(s) purchased/serviced so that we can continue to provide the efficient services we strive to deliver.  We may send a reminder each year if you continue to have your appliance(s) serviced by us.  You can decline to receive any correspondence or other future communications from us about our products and services at any time, by emailing sales@burningsensation.co.uk or by writing to us at Armstrong Street, Grimsby, DN31 1XD.

The data we will hold is kept securely on a computer spreadsheet and is only accessible by employees of Burning Sensation (Grimsby) Ltd for the purposes as mentioned above.  We do not hold any information online.  We will never sell your personal data.

Showroom CCTV:

We use a network linked CCTV security system both inside the showroom and externally around the building.  The CCTV is there to protect showroom staff and those visiting the showroom.  CCTV may be shared with the police and legal authorities at their request and publicly, following events which deem this to be necessary.  Our CCTV system cannot be accessed externally by anyone outside of the employ of Burning Sensation (Grimsby) Ltd.
